I am totally not a supplement person. I have had little success with supplements in my 50 years of horse ownership but someone recommended this to me to try. I have a 15 year old TWH gelding who has battled summer time allergies. He coughs, wheezes and can struggle to breathe from May thru September. He has a nebulizer and we stay away from steroids. He has been on this for two weeks. Maybe it’s too soon to get my hopes up but for the last 5 days he has been completely comfortable. There has been zero coughing and no audible wheezing. Nothing else has changed in his life except adding Pure Allergy Relief. I will definitely report back after 30 days but I am thrilled to see him so relaxed and comfortable in the heat and humidity. Even if this is helping a little it is worth it at this point to keep him off of any steroids for a along as I can.
My mare was rescued from a massive neglect case in 2016 and it took a lot of extra care to get her healthy again. One realm we've never fully been able to "fix" was her reaction to spring and summer - swollen eyes, welts from bug bites, and some sweet itch. The vets recommended vitamin E and Omega, so she's been on those for years, and they've helped a little.. but I noticed a much bigger difference this summer when we first tried this product. It isn't a miracle cure or anything, but she has not had any swelling in her eyes, much fewer afternoon tears, and although she still has lumps and some missing hair from fly bites, it is noticably less than previous years. If I'd known about this product a few years ago, I think I would have saved up and tried it, but oh well. At least she's on it now and seems much more comfortable than previous years. I wish it weren't so expensive, but when you look at all the ingredients and what they'd cost on their own, it is actually reasonable for what it is. And it seems to work. So I'd recommend it. Oh, and she seems to like the taste just fine, we just add some oil and water to make it stick to the other grain and there's nothing leftover after.
I have 3 horses that all get allergies really bad. This product makes a night and day difference. My horses are not trying to itch their eyes out anymore and my warmblood for the first time in years does not have her eyes swollen shut. Excellent product.
