Meadowsweet contains the active ingredient salicylic acid which is frequently used to support the digestive tract and joint mobility. The constituents of this ingredient protect the lining of the stomach and intestines and provide an anti-inflammatory action.
Meadowsweet effectively reduces acids and alleviates joint problems, which are a common sign of too much acidity within the body. Meadowsweet also supports connective tissue health, flexibility, hard working joints and muscles and soothes the digestive tract.

It works! My horse went on antibiotics on and off for several months with some incredibly persistent cellulitis. During this time he was also dewormed and of course it was over the summer months so we were spraying away with fly spray. I started to notice a slight change in his personality, a bit more dull and then a change in his coat which also looked less shiny than usual. I didn’t think anything of it at the time until I stumbled across a blog this company posted about toxins and how they effect the body. It wasn’t until I read that that I connected the dots and decided to see if there was any merit to what the blog was saying. I bought the Diamond Liver Detox, the large bag, and put my horse on it for a month. It took a week to see a change in his demeanor…he just seemed more awake. After the end of the month his coat was gloriously shiny again. I had no idea toxins could impact him in a such a way but now that I am aware, I am going to detox all of my horses after meds, deworming and possibly even after the summer months when we’ve used chemical fly sprays.

“I am a firm believer in allowing the horse’s body to heal itself. When given the right environment, along with pure nutrients, this is remarkably possible. To this end, I enjoy recommending products from Twenty Four Carrots. They meet the high standards that I want for my clients’ horses. Their ingredients have not been processed or tampered with in any way – clean and wholesome, just the way nature intended.”
